Main conclusions

The overall purpose of Energy Island – North Sea is to prepare a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) for the project and a series of offshore environmental investigations.

The overall objectives of the services of Energy Island – North Sea are as follows:

  • To prepare a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the plan for Energy Island – North Sea, including interconnection to a North Sea country, export cable corridors to the Danish west coast and a land-based footprint (Jutland).
  • To undertake marine environmental investigations/surveys concerning the offshore project, including the island, areas for 3 GW offshore wind connection to the island and export cable corridors from the island to the Danish west coast.
