Senior researcher Stine Slotsbo of the Department of Ecoscience is this year’s recipient of the Else Kai Sass Award for her work in putting small animals on the big agenda.

Aarhus University used The Tall Ships Races at the Port of Aarhus to bring the sea into fo-cus, making it tangible, engaging and a shared experience for schoolchildren, local residents and partners alike.

There is good reason to clam up when parasites come calling. New research shows how the 'ecology of fear' can dramatically change the behaviour of blue mussels – with potential consequences that reach far beyond the individual mussel.

The course will comprise lectures, keynote presentations from leading eDNA researchers, practical (literature-based) group-exercises and presentations. The course is free of charge for Danish PhD students. PhD students from outside of Denmark will pay a fee of 2000 DKK.
