VISION

The Department of Ecoscience will be an international leader in ap plied research and research-based consultancy on nature, the envi ronment and ecosystems – based on strong fundamental research on ecosystem processes and dynamics. We will be the preferred partner for authorities, research institutions, businesses and stakeholders. We will ensure a high level of scientific expertise and that we are methodologically well founded in everything we deliver. Through strong, mission-driven and interdisciplinary part nerships, we will take the lead and drive the development of solutions for the challenges in nature and the environment facing the Danish Realm and the rest of the world. We will educate and attract the next generation of researchers and consultants and ensure providing a working environment character ised by high scientific standards, trust and wellbeing. MISSION

The Department of Ecoscience creates and shares knowledge about the state, dynamics and interrelationships of nature – from land through streams and lakes to fjords and the sea. We focus on the Dan ish Realm, but our scientific coverage extends from the broad Arctic to the global south. We conduct research, develop talent and provide research-based consultancy that gives society a solid foundation for sustainable decisions that lead to more and better nature and envi ronment. Through close collaboration with authorities, knowledge in stitutions, businesses and other stakeholders, we translate research and consultancy into solutions and management that strengthen and de velop nature and benefit future generations.
