The Danish Centre for Wadden Sea Research will collaborate with both national and international stakeholders in the Wadden Sea. The Centre will engage with all institutions and organisations with a common interest in the biology, geomorphology, cultural history and natural resources of the Wadden Sea. The Wadden Sea area spans over Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. Therefore, for decades there has been close academic collaboration between research institutions in the three countries, and since 1978, through the Trilateral Wadden Sea Partnership, there has been an official collaboration between the ministers of environment in all three countries regarding the protection and management of the Wadden Sea. This collaboration also includes coordinated nature and environmental monitoring across country borders. The list below is a preliminary overview of the Centre's national and international partners.
