Oil spills can negatively affect the environment in many ways.
Together with Pinngortitaleriffik (Greenland Institute of Natural Resources), we advise Naalakkersuisut (Government of Greenland) on environmental effects in relation to oil spills from shipping traffic, but also oil exploration and extraction, and how the environment is affected as little as possible by oil exploration.
In addition, DCE runs a data centre managing the environmental and nature data collected both in connection with research and by the companies operating in Greenland
