C-NBS works within the definition of the IUCN adopted by the UN at COP15 for biodiversity in Montreal and the most recent climate conference COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
At C-NBS we work:
Our approach is holistic because complex issues require us to address multiple areas simultaneously. This means looking at the connections between NBS across landscapes and developing methods that can be used on land, in freshwater and in the sea. Whether we are in the city, the countryside, the forest or by the coast, increased use of NBS can help sequester CO2, increase biodiversity and improve human well-being. It requires the involvement of all sectors of society, and our mission is to work with everyone, for everyone and especially for nature!
