We’re pleased to welcome Professor Niels Martin Schmidt as the new Deputy Head of Department with responsibility for the Arctic research area at Ecoscience.

With extensive experience in Arctic ecology and a strong track record in both research and collaboration – nationally and internationally – Niels will now be part of the department’s daily leadership team.

He will work to strengthen the overall Arctic profile across disciplines and sections, and support colleagues in making an impact within nature, environment, and ecosystems in Greenland and the wider Arctic region.
